![]() Maya like window navigation with alt + rbtn, alt + lbtn, alt + mbtn nav. look into harmonic illumination for faster GI lighting (again reading about Avatar) Automatic polygon decimation when objects move to the distance (read Cinefex about Avatar) More intuitive/easy Bones setup and manipulation Project window drag and drop organization camera treated more like an object, so it behaves as other objects do when you manipulate it and apply scripts to it. Better displacement to fully handle ZBrush type sculpting results on low polygon models. ![]() commands to make things drop until they are stopped by other objects (hardbody physics) good plug-ins for organic procedural textures (dirt, grime, wear and aging) and shapes (hair, clouds, trees, vines, stones) Some ideas are in this thread as well labeled "6.5" Update on fog and mist(light beams and better shadows)īones, handles for easer control of rotation and twistingīone mode, a mix of wire and shaded view. UV Map making(maybe more then one UV map per object) Reordering layers, layer grouping without being a group Selecting and moving keyframes on more then one layer at a time ![]() Why can't Strata have finer control of the motion of objects? And the velocity controls in the Event Options window have always been terribly inadequate. What's needed is a graph editor like in After Effects, Flash, and just about every other 3D program out there (even the cheap ones). And they don't even work with the camera. ScriptFX is a small step in the right direction - but you need to be a programmer to modify the presets. Especially the simple easing in and out of keyframes for a motion or rotation. Strata's animation capabilities need a big upgrade. Well, I just mentioned this in another topic - but here it is again: You'll need to register for a separate account here.
